Hey guys! so i have been nominated for this Liebster award for a few times. i got nominated in the past, not thinking much of it, however recently i got nominated 3 times by Lauren, Lucy and Eve, so thankyou very much! and i am glad people still actually read my blog haha!

So if you dont know what this award consists of, here are the rules:

Seeing as i got nominated 3 times, i imagine i have to do all the questions? here it goes!

Laurens questions:
Where would you like to see yourself in 10 years time?

i would probably like to see myself at a good university, or coming out of one!
What are your hobbies aside from blogging?

i love reading, writing, taking pictures, baking omg yasss and eating obvs haha.
Do you regret anything about blogging?

i regret my blogger name, i dont know how to change it however if i did, i would have to change all of my social media sites which if you can imagine would take a heck of a lot of time! but other than that nothing really :)
Favourite artist/band?

i have a few, so seeing as i cannot pick i will just go through them all! Beyonce, Artic Monkeys, Ed Sheeran, there are a few more that i cant think of at the top of my head.
Favourite part of blogging?

the photography, and editing my page layout which is finally done for now! i cannot imagine me spending more hours trying to make the perfect layout!
Who is your favourite large, and small blogger

my favourite large blogger is probably girltalkwithlaura.blogspot.co.uk, and i have to many small bloggers to say, you know who you are!
Who is your style icon/inspiration?

i dont reallt have a icon, however i get a lot of my inspiration from Pintrest, hope that counts!

Topshop, all the way, and probably ASOS.

How have the past six months been for you, with regards to blogging?

it has been ok, would have liked to got a bit more inspiration and some more traffic, but that is my own doing for not blogging reguarly :)

 If you were stuck on a desert island and could only take three things (besides a boat, food etc), what would you bring?

The harry potter series, a phone with 4G ;) and my family, accept the elders, don't really want to risk their life, you get me? ahh

Probably reviews, i love getting my point across in whichever way i can ahha

Not really sure, maybe my tartan shirt... until i lost it, argghh!!!

a £5000 spending spree in a outlet, never going to happen obviously haha!

 When was the last time you laugh cried?

at my last sleepover with my bestfriend, first time i ever cried with laughter, can't quite remember what was so funny :/

probably my most recent one with the cake and all, yeah i was pretty proud of the photography in it, even though it wasn't too good :/

no :( my rabbit who i absoloutly loved with all my heart ran away whilst i was on holiday. he obviously didn't like me then... im kidding hah of course he did!
 If you could be any age what age would you be?

i would like to be 17, so i can start to learn no drive :)

blog, have a wash day where i properly pamper my curls because i cant do it often due to homework and clubs.

Orange Layer Cake

   So today i made a cake and its super tastey! i got this recipe online, but im going to re-write it seeing as i did a few things different that helped improved the taste. some of you may know i have a passion for baking, and in some cases cooking. i have always felt comfortable in a kitchen, being responsible for what i am making and learing from my MANY, MANY mistakes. i find it so fun. so anyway i will stop babbaling and i will show you the ingredients and the steps. 

For the cake

  • 225g baking spread
  • 225g self-raising flour
  • 1 level tsp baking powder
  • 100g golden caster sugar
  • 100g brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • finely grated zest of 2 oranges
  chocolate sprinkles

For the butter icing

  • 150g butter, softened
  • 300g icing sugar, sifted
  • finely grated zest of 2 oranges

For the glaze

  • 25g caster sugar
  • juice of 2 oranges



  1. Pre heat the oven to 180C/160C fan/gas mark 4.You will need 2 x 20cm loose-bottomed sandwich tins, greased and bases lined with baking parchment. Measure all the cake ingredients into a large bowl, then add 3 table spoons of water to the mix.(reserve a little orange zest for decoration) and beat with a wooden spoon or electric hand mixer until combined and smooth.                                                                                                  
  2. Divide evenly between the 2 tins. Bake for 20-25 mins or until well risen, lightly golden and shrinking away from the sides of the tins. After 5 mins, remove from the tins and leave to cool on a wire rack.                                                                                                      
  3. To make the icing, put the butter and icing sugar into a bowl and mix with an electric hand mixer until light and fluffy. Stir in the orange zest.                                                       
  4. Remove the paper from the cakes. Sit 1 cake upside down on a plate. Make the glaze by putting the caster sugar and orange juice into a saucepan, stirring over a low heat until the sugar has dissolved. Boil until reduced by half, then brush half on the upside-down cake, using a pastry brush. Spread half the butter icing over the glazed cake. Sit the other cake on top, brush with the remaining glaze, then spread with the remaining butter icing. Scatter with the reserved orange zest. The cake is best eaten on the day, but will keep for up to 3 days in a cool place. It freezes well un-iced or filled. enjoy!





























i really like the taste of this cake, it is partially sickly, but the orange give is a citrus hint which i love. the sponge itself is quite dense, i would of liked it to me more fluffier, but i am not complaining, it doesn't taste bad at all (don't mean to honk my own horn, but, HONK)!
if your going to try this, make sure the orange zest is finely grated, i imagine a chunk of orange skin in your mouth isn't the nicest thing!

Sleepover #1

Hey guys! so today i was brainstorming on what to post on my blog and i had some magical idea that i think you'll like. so, me and my Bestfriend, Kam, have sleepovers frequently. seeing as we have so many of them, why shouldn't i blog about what we are doing? so, this will be a sort of series, each blog regarding this series with be called "Sleepover" with whatever number next to it. I will be telling you today what i am packing, i will take some snaps, tell you if we watch a movie. also, today i think we might be baking a cake, so i will show you the end results (or what is left of them).

Packing

so i packed some pairs of pj's, hairbrush, deodrant, toothbrush, camera & tripod, hair product and my laptop, not bad considering the amount i usually bring!
there have been countless occasions where I have bought bags and bags, so to save myself this time from carrying them to and from a car, I packed everything in a mini suitcase. wakky, I know but did do me a lot of favours, would recommend  it if you do not travel light and want something easy to carry all your stuff in. 











 We made some intresting looking cakes. these were supposed to be full on sponges, like the top picture, but one went downhill. you can guess who managed to make that one ;) whilst i was taking my cake out of the tin it flopped over, me, my bestfriend and her Brother literally fell to the floor laughing. i didnt even know what was funny, it was there faces and continuous giggles that made me weep with laughter.

during the night, instead of watching an actual movie, we decided to watch horror trailers that almost made us shat ourselves! wasnt the best thing in the world for me, but we made jokes about the masks they wore in The Purge, endless entertainment watching Kam laugh!

i guess to sum up our night in whole would be lots of giggles (more like tons). i had lots of fun! thankyou for the sleepover Kam! looking forward to our next one! also, if you have any ideas we could do on our next sleepover that you think is a good idea of you have tried and enjoyed it, then comment below and we will try and feature it in my next sleepover post!
